Bali Wedding Photographer

There is no place in the world like Bali. This tropical island in the Indian Ocean has a magical blend of culture, people, nature, activities, a perfect climate, culinary delights, nightlife and luxury accommodation which all ensure that year after year it is rated as one of the best travel destinations in the world.
So, it’s no surprise that it’s very much in demand as a location for a destination wedding. The wedding industry in Bali is well established and offers a wealth of amazing wedding venues offering private villas and luxury resorts and hotels for those looking for a romantic and beautiful beach wedding.
As an award-winning wedding photographer, I can certainly see the appeal of getting married in Bali. A destination wedding turns a wedding day into a wedding adventure. And it’s an adventure that you get to take your loved ones along with you. Taking your wedding from a few hours in a familiar setting to at least a few days of something exciting and new.

For couples looking for something a little different, Bali also offers truly unique weddings experiences where couples can choose to get married on top of a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, or in mystical hidden beach caves, or in the lush jungle surrounded by a canopy of exotic plants and trees, or up in the mountains, or by a volcanic lake with tumbling waterfalls, or with stunning views overlooking rice fields, or even in a canoe on a serene lake. Bali offers everything for those looking for hi-end luxury and those looking for a wedding adventure that takes them off the beaten track.
Destination wedding photography is all about capturing all the emotions of a wedding alongside the traditions, rituals and stunning location of your chosen destination and blending them to tell the story of your wedding adventure with beautiful and timeless images.
Photographing weddings in Bali is perfectly suited to my style of documentary wedding photography which captures the story of your wedding day naturally as it unfolds. Documentary wedding photography done properly is very emotive. It produces images that will not only transport you back to how you looked on your wedding day but will take you back to precisely how you felt in each and every moment that every photograph was taken.

Traditional Balinese weddings are held in Hindu temples and are colourful and exuberant celebrations held with customs and traditions over three days. Why not take the some of the traditions of Balinese weddings into your wedding decorations and music. Like using coconut leaves, local flowers and fruits and colourful umbrellas to decorate your venue. And you can choose to have traditional Balinese gamelan music using traditional instruments made of bronze and bamboo. You can even have a Hindu priest give you a blessing. And of course, you can enjoy amazing Balinese food!

A destination wedding in Bali combines an incredible honeymoon location with your wedding day. There will of course be loved ones who can’t be there with you, which makes it all the more important for you to have beautiful and timeless images of your wedding adventure to show them on your return.
When I shoot destination wedding photography, I always allow a couple of days either side of your wedding. This covers any delays, climatises me to a new time zone, and gives me a chance to familiarise myself with the venue so that I can seek out all the best locations for wedding photos. I watch how the light interacts with the setting and see what time the sunsets, the time of the tides, and how quick light fades to darkness.

Beautiful and creative wedding photography in Bali
Before the day, I can capture your pre-wedding meal, or an informal BBQ or you can choose to have a little pre-wedding photoshoot off the beaten track a little. It’s a chance for you and your guests to get comfortable around me so that when it comes to your wedding day you’ll relax in front of the camera. This relaxed, friendly yet professional approach always results in candid and natural images that allow me to accurately and unobtrusively document your wedding day naturally as it unfolds in a storytelling way.
Pre-wedding and engagement photography in Bali
Bali is also a fantastic destination for an engagement or pre-wedding photoshoot. Its stunning beaches, lush jungle, mountains, lakes and waterfalls as well as romantic sunsets make the most exquisite and romantic backdrops in images.
All of my engagement photography couples say that they loved their pre wedding photoshoot and went on to use the images in their wedding stationery.
