The Best Wedding Venues in Ho Chi Minh City

I love my job as a Ho Chi Minh wedding photographer and have been lucky to work at some of the best wedding venues in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City is my base in Vietnam and I can never get enough of this amazing city.  It has a buzzing cosmopolitan vibe.  It’s rich history and vibrant economy has given it a fascinating landscape, with classic French architecture sitting alongside sleek skyscrapers. 

I love bold cityscape images and epic portraits, Ho Chi Minh City delivers the perfect backdrops for both and I have the city to thank for much of the acclaim and international recognition I have earned as an award-winning photographer.  And whilst awards are always gratifying, knowing I’ve created something amazing for my couples is what motivates me. 

After the sun sets, the city really comes to life, the river is lit and can be viewed from the many rooftop bars and restaurants all around the city.  There’s live music, clubs, street cafes, endless tea and coffee shops and night markets.  You can take an evening cruise along the Saigon River, or watch a cultural show at the Saigon Opera House.

With so much to see and do in such a vibrant and colourful city. Ho Chi Minh City is a fantastic location for a pre-wedding photoshoot.  And as a resident of the city, I can use my insight to show you the best locations, customs, culture and food.  Acting as a tour guide as well as a photographer, I will leave you with some amazing memories and a set of simply stunning images of the two of you.

Choosing Your Wedding Venue in Ho Chi Minh City

Which brings me neatly to talking about the best wedding venues in Ho Chi Minh City.   And there are plenty to choose from.  Whether you’re looking for urban luxury in a modern hotel, a rustic riverside retreat,  lush green garden ceremonies or grand ballroom celebrations.  When it comes to Ho Chi Minh City wedding venues, there really is something for everyone. 

With so many wedding venues to choose from, it wasn’t easy to shortlist my favourites.  But I’ve managed it – so here they are:

1. Gem Center

The largest event hall space in the city.  Gem Centre is in the central area of District 1.  This hanger style space has state of the art lighting and sound systems, and a ceiling designed to hang stunning flower and light arrangements.  It’s the perfect match for my style of epic wedding photography.  When I document weddings at Gem Center, I am always blown away by my first glimpse of the space all dressed and ready for the celebration.  

2. Park Hyatt Saigon

If you’re looking for five-star urban luxury for your wedding then Park Hyatt Saigon is for you.  For intimate weddings they offer their Pool House and for larger celebrations their elegant ballroom.  You can choose to have either an Asian or a western menu, with all food prepared by their world class restaurant kitchen.  And with guest accommodation covered, Park Hyatt Saigon is the perfect base for a destination wedding.

3. An Lam Retreats

An Lam Retreat describe themselves as offering ‘barefoot luxury and rustic yet chic weddings.’  And as an experienced Anlam Retreat wedding photographer, I have to say it perfectly describes the vibe of this beautiful retreat tucked away on the banks of the Saigon River.   When I capture weddings at An Lam Retreat, I love capturing outdoor ceremonies in their utterly stunning lush green gardens. 

4. Hotel Nikko

For a chic and modern wedding venue in the heart of the city, Hotel Nikko is hard to beat.  Hotel Nikko offer two spaces for weddings.  First is their gorgeous Nikko Garden which is ideal for romantic outdoor wedding ceremonies and receptions.  Or if you’re looking for unabashed splendour then you should take a look at their opulent origami ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 guests.  Whichever you choose expect first class service and exquisite food.

5. Mia Saigon Luxury Boutique Hotel

Mia Saigon Luxury Boutique Hotel is a private urban sanctuary.  Stylish and luxurious it sits on the banks of the tranquil Saigon River in the fashionable Thu Duc City area.
