Chloe and Kevin chose Lamont’s Bishop House for their Spring wedding in Perth. Listed in the 1850’s Lamont’s Bishops House is a beautiful heritage building that has been lovingly renovated and reimagined as a formal dining venue by the Lamont family. This striking outdoor wedding venue has tons of old-world charm and is situated right in the heart of the city with modern buildings providing a fantastic backdrop. A real favourite with us Perth wedding photographers, it offers us endless of beautiful backdrops for amazing wedding photos. Chloe and Kevin knew it was the wedding venue for them as soon as they saw it.
Chloe looked stunning in a Rita Gown by Natalie Rolt, in pure white satin, with stunning of the shoulder cut, it elegantly skimmed her slender figure giving Chloe a beautiful silhouette. Chloe teamed it with a gorgeous full-length veil and a stunning bouquet by Maple and Wren who did the flowers on the day. Chloe’s long blonde hair had been styled by hairstylist Ally McIvor and her make up immaculate applied by make-up artist Tori Overstone. Chloe had an effortless look of glamour and style.
The Ceremony
Kevin and his grooms party looked very smart in traditional black tie. Chloe and Kevin chose an outdoor ceremony and Chloe was walked down the aisle by her dad. After a beautiful ceremony, there was a fun confetti moment with elegant white rose petals, before everybody enjoyed a drinks and tapas reception.
With everybody happily mingling and enjoying refreshments, I took my chance to whisk Chloe and Kevin away for a few minutes for a mini photoshoot around the gardens of Lamont’s Bishops House. The image captured of them from behind walking hand in hand with the low sun shining through was pillars was just stunning and my favourite one of the day.
The Reception
The wedding was hosted on the Lower Courtyard under a gorgeous transparent marquee. It had been dressed exquisitely by wedding planner Emma Chapman from A Rose Touch. The long tables were dressed beautifully with white flowers with green foliage and simple church candles in holders. It had the look of an Italian Villa wedding. Chloe and Kevin were welcomed to their reception rapturously by their guests.
Everybody then enjoyed a sumptuous wedding dinner provided by the in-house catering team at Lamont’s Bishops House.
When it came to evening celebrations, things started with a first dance for Chloe and Kevin. Under the lit canopy of the marquee with the stars beyond, it was a magical setting for a romantic first dance.
Singer Stella Kelly entertained everybody, and later Streamline Entertainment really got the dance vibe going. Chloe and Kevin’s guests were really up for a party so I took to the dancefloor to get some fun images.
And it was the image of Chloe, Kevin and their guests, having fun on the dancefloor, that felt like the perfect image to close the story of their gorgeous wedding day.
I loved being a Lamont’s Bishops House wedding photographer for Chloe and Kevin. A gorgeous, stylish and fun wedding day for this gorgeous, stylish and fun couple. I’ll leave the last words to them. Here’s what they had to say about me.“We would recommend Jacob to anyone looking for a photographer. His portfolio speaks for itself and as well as being a true professional he was personable and really made everything so easy. Thank you again. “My new wife and I cannot recommend Jacob enough. From our first initial meeting he came across extremely professional but most importantly approachable and friendly. He asked us questions about ourselves and provided great information and guidance for our big day. We are admittedly not the most comfortable couple in front of a camera, but Jacob offered us a pre-shoot to test locations and ‘practice’ some shots for the wedding. We are extremely grateful for what we thought was an essential session with him. The photos and edits turned out amazing! And we cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding photos. Excellent communication throughout and a friendly professional. Thank you again”
