Outdoor wedding ceremonies at Matilda Bay are held on the lawns next to the venue that enjoy a beautiful outlook over the Swan River and Perth’s city skyline. Vows are usually taken right by the waterside with a mature tree providing shade and guests seated nearby on the lawn. It’s a really romantic setting for a wedding ceremony.
When it comes to indoor spaces Matilda Bay offer three unique spaces that can cater for everything from intimate elopements through to grand lavish wedding celebrations and everything in between.
The Venue
The smallest room of all is the Wine Room. This purpose-built private dining room offers an intimate dining experience ideal for a small and or elopement wedding. A personalised service and a dedicated waiter will take care of every detail allowing you to relax and enjoy your day. With state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, the room has been designed to ensure you are not disturbed by others. Giving your small wedding an exclusive use feel. The Wine Room has capacity for 2 to 20 guests.
The Catalina Room is situated on the ground level and has an adjoining patio alfresco allowing you to throw open the ceiling to floor bi-fold doors to effortlessly blend indoor and outdoor spaces at your wedding. The patio allows you and your guests to enjoy the natural beauty of the adjacent park, the trees and the river’s edge in luxurious comfort.
It’s a favourite with us Matilda Bay wedding photographers as the room is flooded with tons of natural light that we can play with to create even more beautiful images. The Catalina Room has a capacity of up to 50 guests seated or up to 100 guests cocktail style.
The Roe Room in the largest of the wedding spaces at Matilda Bay and is one the team there are very proud of. Situated upstairs on the first floor it enjoys stunning and unique views of Matilda Bay, the Swan River, Kings Park and Perth City.
Stunning Perth Waterfront Venue
With its own dedicated kitchen it has a real exclusive use feel about it as you and your guests enjoy the entire first floor to yourselves. You can choose to have a sit-down event for up to 140 guests or up to 250 guests for a cocktail style reception.
The Roe Room is fully equipped with a portable data projector, a presentation lectern and mic, along with a lapel and hand-held mic. There is also space for a DJ and dancefloor. Everything you need for an epic evening wedding celebration.
