Phu Quoc Wedding Photographer
The person behind the lens
As an experienced wedding photographer and long-term resident of Vietnam, I always love working in Phu Quoc. The home of picturesque beaches and tropical jungles, Phu Qouc Island is the perfect place for adventurous, romantic and nature couples who want to get married in Vietnam.
Characterised by its white sandy beaches that have earned it the nickname Pearl Island. The perfect blend of nature, culture and heritage means that you can enjoy its beautiful beaches, explore caves, rock pools, forests and waterfalls, visit its beautiful temples and then dine out on its famous local cuisine.
And with a comfortable temperature all year round and a fantastic after dark vibe it really is the perfect location for an epic wedding in Vietnam. If you’ve been browsing the images on my website, one thing you’ll have learned about me is that I love capturing amazing portraits of my couples on their wedding days.
Phu Quoc is perfectly suited to my style as a documentary wedding photographer. After your wedding day it is the images that you will return to, to remind you of your day.
Documentary wedding photography doesn’t just show you how you looked at your wedding but instantly transports you back to how you felt in each and every moment.
With beautiful and timeless images tell the story of your wedding day. That’s what the best wedding photography does.
Capturing emotion and moments
Named one of the top wedding photographers in Australia & NEw Zealand by SLR Lounge
My creativity and unique, bold style have earned me international recognition as an Award Winning Wedding Photographer. Making the most of the epic scenery I have access to as Phu Quoc Island wedding photographer, I love creating stunning portraits with couples in vibrant landscapes. Prestigious awards are humbling to receive, but knowing I’ve created something incredible for the couples I work with is the most important measure of success for me.
“…It was an absolute pleasure to have such a talented photographer capture our most precious memories from our wedding! Jacob is very passionate with his wedding photography, he is super energetic and makes everyone very comfortable around the camera, helping him to capture the moments perfectly..”

Award winning Phu Quoc Wedding Photographer
As an award-winning wedding photographer, I always love returing to Phu Quoc. I am familiar with the customs and traditions of the region.
I know the best locations and times of day for perfect wedding photography and I have established good working relationships with all of Phu Quoc’s wedding venues.
Below I talk about three of my favourite Phu Quoc wedding venues.
Phu Quoc's Best Wedding Venues
Intercontinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort
Overlooking the azure ocean, Intercontinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is surrounded by verdant jungle, matted hills and landscaped gardens. With direct access to the white sandy beach, it has everything you need for a luxurious beach wedding in Vietnam.
Enjoy a beach ceremony under a scented floral arch on the white sands overlooking the sparkling blue ocean. Intercontinental offer wedding ceremonies from dawn till dusk allowing couples to take full advantage of the beautiful daily sunrises and sunsets.
Intercontinental Phu Quoc’s INK 360 is the highest bar in Phu Quoc and boasts breath-taking panoramic views of the turquoise ocean. A timeless venue for a magnificent sunset wedding. Or for indoor celebrations the lavish Magnolia Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 600 guests or can be sectioned off into smaller spaces accordingly to the size of your wedding celebration.
Nam Nghi Resort
Nam Nghi Resort is a luxury island retreat surrounded by nature. Environmentally sustainable architecture blends perfectly with light sanded beaches, turquoise sparkling sea and lush forest jungle. And all delivered with a distinctively Vietnamese style.
The wedding team at Nam Nghi create beautiful bespoke weddings covering everything from romantic, secluded elopements to tasteful luxury venues for larger celebrations. Specialising in beach ceremonies you can take your vows on their private beach on the shores of Phu Quoc.
For an elegant venue Nam Nghi’s Ocean Reflection is perfect for larger Vietnamese style weddings. With sweeping ocean vistas and a refined restaurant whose chefs prepare a variety of delectable pan Asian dishes guaranteed to impress your guests.
For an alternative outdoor ceremony, the pool area is ideal and makes an elegant setting for an evening celebration under the stars.
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa
Nestled on the pristine beach of Bai Kem this one-time 19th-century French university was designed by the highly regarded architect Bill Bensley. Today, JW Marriott Phu Quoc has been reimagined as a luxury beachside resort and spa. This luxury haven is set along a ribbon of beautiful shoreline in Phu Quoc.
The wedding team at JW Marriott Phu Quoc arrange weddings from intimate elopements through to grand lavish affairs for over 400 guests, and everything you can think of in-between.
When I capture weddings at JW Marriott Phu Quoc, I love their beach weddings. Capturing my couples say ‘I do’ barefoot on the golden sands, under an arch of flowers, with the gentle breeze in their hair to the sound of lapping waves is always a dreamy setting for a wedding in paradise.
So, if you’re planning your wedding in Phu Quoc right now, or are still entertaining the idea of a Phu Quoc wedding then I hope this has been helpful to you.
Have fun planning your wedding and when you’ve found that perfect wedding venue, you’ll be looking for an experienced Phu Quoc wedding photographer. Feel free to get in touch.
I’d love to hear about your wedding plans…
