History of Sandalford Winery
John Septimus Roe, Western Australia’s first Surveyor General, was granted 4,000 acres of land on the banks of the West Swan river in honour of 57 years of service to the Commonwealth. Roe named the property Sandalford after his original home in Berkshire, England.Established in 1840, Sandalford Wines is one of the oldest, most sustainable winemakers in Western Australia, now exporting to over 40 countries around the world.

With four elegant function rooms, weddings at Sandalford Winery can range from intimate gatherings to extravagant, large-scale celebrations. Ceremonies take place on either Chenin Lawn at the heart of the vineyard surrounded by historic vines, or on Merlot Lawn with views over the lake and terraces to the south of the estate.As a Sandalford Winery Wedding Photographer the rustic charm of the Oak Room is irresistible. With oak paneled walls and a backdrop of barrels filled with Sandalera fortified wine, this is such a fantastic place to photograph a wedding reception. The wrought iron chandeliers and ceiling drapes are a luxury touch, along with gold tiffany chairs for 80-120 guests.There’s also an underground cellar, suitable for up to 250 guests surrounded by American oak barrels of premium aging port. The soft lighting and relaxing atmosphere of Sandalford allows me to work quietly in a documentary style to capture the emotional moments of your day and interactions between your friends and family.
