Sydney Pre-Wedding Photography

I love my job as a Sydney pre-wedding photographer. Pre-wedding photography is increasing in popularity and I can’t recommend it enough. You would say that, I hear you cry but hear me out.
There are lots of reasons why couples choose to have pre-wedding photography. Firstly, they are a great way for you to meet your photographer before your wedding day and get some amazing images of you both together. Many of my couples go on to use the images from their pre-wedding photoshoots in their wedding stationery.
Secondly, lots of people tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera. Let’s face it, most of the time we don’t live celebrity lifestyles getting papped all the time, so having our photograph taken can make us feel embarrassed, shy or awkward. So, pre wedding photography session is the perfect time to address these concerns.
The session will help you to feel comfortable in front of the camera so when your wedding day arrives you will feel much more relaxed. During the pre-wedding photoshoot, I can give you useful hints and tips on how to relax in front of the camera.
My photographic style is always natural and authentic as I always want my couples to have fun and just forget about the camera. This approach allows me to capture my couples as they actually are, interacting with each other in an effortless and natural way. Nothing too posed or forced, but always looking their absolute best!
Luckily for me, I’m a pre wedding photographer in Sydney so I’m spoilt for choice when it comes to amazing locations for a fantastic pre wedding photoshoot.
Pre wedding photography at Sydney Opera House

The first of these locations I want to talk about is Australia’s most famous landmark the Sydney Opera House which makes the perfect location for a pre wedding photoshoot in Sydney. In the mid 1950’s a little-known Danish architect won a competition to design an opera house to go on Sydney Harbour and the result changed the course of twentieth-century architecture. So where better to enjoy a pre-wedding photoshoot in Sydney than at this instantly recognisable iconic building.
If you’re looking for beautiful architecture with old world charm in your Sydney pre wedding photography then it has to be the University of Sydney. This Neo-Gothic sandstone quadrangle and Great Tower buildings were completed in 1862 and are seriously handsome buildings surrounded by pristine lawns. The perfect location for a chilled out yet classy pre wedding photoshoot in Sydney.
To get away from the hustle but still be in the centre of Sydney a great place to head to is Observatory Hill Park. This park enjoys the most spectacular panoramic views of Sydney Harbour and is home to several historic buildings including the Sydney Observatory, several museums, a rotunda and a bandstand. It makes the perfect location for a laid-back pre-wedding photoshoot in Sydney and offers an endless supply of fantastic backdrops in your photos.
Clovelly beach
Clovelly Beach is a small and tranquil beach, located at the mouth of a narrow bay between two rocky ridges with promenades on both sides of the bay. Smaller and friendlier than Bondi beach, it’s a real magnet for families with children as the waves are much smaller here. Calm, friendly and picturesque, it makes a great location for a Sydney pre wedding photoshoot.
So, if you’re currently planning your wedding and want to know more about pre-wedding photography in Sydney, then why not get in touch.
I’d love to hear about your wedding plans.
