As a Flour Factory wedding photographer I love this 100-year-old flour mill which sits in the heart of the city. Reimagined as an inner-city pub across three distinct yet flowing spaces, the Flour Factory has a reputation for excellent food and drink fusing together colourful modern Australian cuisine, using only the finest fresh local produce with a little Spanish twist.

The Flour Factory is one of my favourite Perth wedding venues. It boasts a bakery, a butchery, an in-house flour mill, seasonal cocktails, a collection of fortified wines and over 100 gins from around the world. Making The Flour Factory the perfect wedding venue for foodies.

Today it stands as one of Perth’s major hospitality landmarks. Décor of exposed timber beams, polished wooden floors and neutral white walls give the venue a rustic yet elegant look perfect for a modern wedding. A blank canvas that you can choose to leave pared back and simple or dress to suit the style of your wedding. Either way, The Flour Factory décor makes an amazing backdrop in your wedding photos.

The Flour Factory offer three different spaces for weddings that are all licensed to hold wedding ceremonies. Catering for everything from intimate weddings with just 20 guests through to large celebrations with 250 guests, and all things in between! I will talk about these spaces now.

Weddings at The Flour Factory

The main bar downstairs on street level has exposed brick walls, high ceilings, polished concrete floors and brown leather chairs. It’s atmospheric lighting creates a great ambience. The long timber bar specialises in gin with a fun ‘gin spin’ where you spin a wheel attached to the wall and it chooses a gin for you to try.

The main bar can be hired for exclusive use for smaller weddings of up to 30 guests or in conjunction with the other spaces for larger celebrations.

Heading upstairs on The Flour Factory’s signature staircase and you arrive at the unique and atmospheric Factory Room. Polished jarrah floors, exposed wooden beams and neutral white walls create a versatile space and blank canvas for you to dress to suit your wedding or leave for a pared back look. The factory can accommodate 160 guests for a standing cocktail reception or 120 guests seated. The Factory has its own private entrance and bar.

Tucked away at the top level is The Sherry, The Flour Factory’s gorgeous rooftop terrace bar. Part indoor lounge, part outdoor terrace it can accommodate up to 80 guests for a cocktail reception or small seated events for up to 24 guests so is ideal for intimate weddings.

Celebrate at The Flour Factory

For large celebrations of up to 250 guests The Sherry can be hired in conjunction with The Factory. Both spaces are on the same level ensuring that larger weddings flow easily, hiring both adds an additional outdoor courtyard, smoking area, bar, bathroom, exclusive lift access as well as a projector, screen and sound system, to your wedding.

The team at The Flour Factory take their food very seriously. They have a well-earned reputation as one of the best eateries in Perth. Their signature grazing tables, pizzas, sliders and donut cakes are legendary.

Sit down wedding meals don’t need to be stuffy affairs with rustic sharing platters placed in the centre of tables with award winning charcuterie, cheeses, pickles, sourdough with cultured butter. For a more formal meal the team at The Flour Factory are renowned for their fish and their steaks. I assure you, whatever food you choose at your wedding at The Flour Factory, it will wow you and your guests.
