The Quarry Amphitheatre Wedding Photographer
If you’re looking for a truly unique Perth wedding venue then look no further than The Quarry Amphitheatre. Set in the tranquil and natural bushlands of Bold Park Reserve, it’s just a ten-minute drive from the centre of the city and a stone’s throw from city beach.
This amphitheatre started life as a working limestone quarry in 1834, the stone from which was used to build many of Perth’s historic buildings. Today, it’s proudly owned and managed by the Town of Cambridge and attracts all kinds of performing arts from live concerts to ballets.
It also makes a fantastic wedding venue, with a truly unique setting, capacity for over 300 guests and a rare BYO license - you can plan yourself a seriously impressive wedding celebration.
As with all amphitheatres, it manages to feel large yet intimate at the same time. It has soaring limestone walls and perfectly manicured terraces all in a magnificent bush-land setting. Add to those stunning views across the city skyline and beyond. So, when it comes to wedding photography, I really am spoilt for choice when for stunning backdrops when photographing my couples.
The Quarry Amphitheatre is the perfect venue for my style of documentary wedding photography. Providing the perfect setting for me to blend in with your guests and capture story of your day in a way that is so unobtrusive that you’ll hardly notice I’m there. This style allows me to authentically capture the emotion of the day.
Experienced Quarry Amphitheatre Wedding Photographer
The team at The Quarry Amphitheatre offer a number of wedding packages allowing you to choose a ceremony only, a ceremony plus a cocktail style reception or a ceremony and a sit-down reception. Receptions can host up to 120 guests so you’ll never feel limited with numbers.
Catering is provided by the award-winning team at Ultimo Catering and Events whose talented Michelin star chefs work with you to create your own bespoke wedding menu that’s bound to blow your guests away.
For weddings, a large clear roof marquee is assembled on the main stage and at certain times of year you can enjoy a ‘wedding under the stars.’
When I return to be a Quarry Amphitheatre wedding photographer, I love it when I first arrive and see the venue all dressed and ready for guests. Long tables are laid out elegantly, beautifully adorned with flowers and ambient lighting that gently casts a light over the amphitheatre beyond. A view so beautiful, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to ancient Rome.
With both City Beach and Bold Park close by you are never far from a stunning background for your bridal party photos also!

It’s all about the feeling you leave your couples with.
